Changing text parameters

Module(s) Text + Templates: Reports, Legends, Labels + Key Plan

You can use the Change Text Parameters tool to change the parameters of text lines and paragraph text. If you only want to modify individual text lines or paragraphs, you can also activate the tool on the shortcut menu.

The shortcut menu appears when an element or the empty workspace is clicked with the right mouse button. Depending on the element clicked, relevant edit tools are made available.

To modify the parameters of existing text

1. Click Change Text Parameters (How).
   

   Activate Change Text Parameters in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Text

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Text flyout
   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Text

   Key Plan

   Templates: Reports, Legends, Labels

2. Modify the text parameters.
3. Select the text whose parameters you want to change.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.
