Components associated with the reference planes are only affected automatically and immediately by roof planes and custom reference planes when the planes and the components are located in the same drawing file.
In other words, when you work without the building structure, it may be necessary to copy roof frames manually to other drawing files.
This is simplified by the building structure: you design a roofscape consisting of roof planes and custom planes in a drawing file or document. Then you integrate the roofscape in the plane model and thus in the building structure.
You can then use Assign planes in the Building Structure dialog box to create the roofscape again in all the drawing files in which it is required - after this, the original document is no longer associated with the new roofscape created in the drawing file(s).
This new roofscape is automatically given the PLM_ROOFSC Roofscape layer from the Allplan Internal hierarchy. You can only show and hide this layer. It cannot be modified. This ensures that a roofscape added to a plane model is not changed inadvertently. For editing purposes, you can use Isolate planes from plane model on the shortcut menu.
After you have made changes, you can replace the existing roofscape with the new one in all the drawing files in a single operation.
What do you want to do?
Insert roofscape in plane model
Create planes of roofscape in drawing files
Change roofscape and replace it in the plane model
Adjust roofscape when height of building structure changes
Copy roofscape and use it in a cross-story manner
Create roofscape in an empty drawing file
Change the planes of a roofscape in a drawing file
