Creating roofscape in empty drawing files

If you want to change a roofscape and its original drawing file is not available, you can also create an existing roofscape in an empty drawing file again and edit it there.

To create an existing roofscape in an empty drawing file again

  1. Click Open on a Project-Specific Basis and select the Building structure tab.
  2. Using the right mouse button, click the drawing file in which you want to create the planes of the roofscape and, on the shortcut menu, click Assign planes.
  3. Check Roofscape in the Assign planes dialog box and click OK to close.
  4. Click OK to confirm the Behavior of drawing files dialog box without activating an option.

The program marks the drawing file in which the planes of a roofscape have been created with a roof symbol in the Open on a Project-Specific Basis: Drawing Files from Fileset/Building Structure dialog box.

  5. Open the drawing file.

The planes of the roofscape are displayed but cannot be modified as they are a component of the plane model.

  6. Click one of the roof planes with the right mouse button and, on the shortcut menu, click Isolate planes from plane model.

The Default layer is automatically assigned to the roofscape. Now you can edit the planes of the roofscape.
