Align spacing between parallel dimension lines
Tool(s): Move Dimension Line
To align the spacing between parallel dimension lines
- Click Move Dimension Line (How).
- On the Context toolbar, click Align dimension lines.
- the dimension lines whose spacing you want to align.
Note: When you have selected dimension lines which are not parallel, the following message is displayed in the dialog line: The dimension lines you have selected are not parallel – click critical dimension line. Click a dimension line. Now only the dimension lines that are parallel to the one you have clicked are selected.
- Click a point which is to serve as the fixed point for the operation
The fixed point can be on the dimensioned element. In this case, the spacing between the dimension line and the element also changes.- On the Move Dimension Line Context toolbar, you can specify how dimension lines that are approximately at the same height are to be handled:
- Adjust small distances option enabled: adjacent dimension lines are aligned. Please note that the difference in spacing between these lines must not exceed 1mm.
- Adjust small distances option disabled: adjacent dimension lines are not aligned.
- Enter the new offset in one of the following ways:
- Enter the spacing in the dialog line and press Enter to confirm.
- Specify the spacing using the mouse (from point, to point).
