Drawing symbol regulations

The Urban Planning module provides you with all the symbols, boundary lines and graphics in compliance with the drawing symbol regulations. You can use the Drawing Symbol Regulations tool to enclose and fill any outlines. The individual elements of the drawing symbol regulations consist of patterns, pattern lines and symbols. These drawing symbols are arranged in groups in a dialog box and can be selected there. This saves you a lot of time and effort. The relevant regulations for the individual drawing symbols and the groups are also included.

Using the integrated drawing symbol regulations, you can create legends in no time at all: just click Drawing Symbol Legend and the system will automatically scan a layout for all the drawing symbol elements used and create a legend – now, all that remains is to place the legend in the layout. Three different display modes are available for legends.

You can display and print the drawing symbols in color or in black and white (depending on the output device you are using): all you need to do is click Color - Black/White Drawing Symbols before you assemble the layout.

Customized country-specific drawing symbol regulations

You cannot modify the Drawing symbol regulations catalog provided by Nemetschek, which is in the ETC folder (default path).

But you can customize the default drawing symbol regulations to suit your own needs and requirements (to include country-specific settings, for example). To do this, copy the drawing symbol regulations to the office standard and rename it. Now you can assign the drawing symbol regulations you have just copied and renamed to a project in the Project Settings.
You can make as many copies as you need; this way, you can create several catalogs tailored to meet the requirements of individual countries.

You can specify the groups and the drawing symbols to which occupancy types can be assigned when they are placed.
