Modifying Shape of Recesses and Openings in Slabs/Plates (analogous to creation method)

To modify recesses and openings in slabs/plates

In addition to attributes and the height setup, you can modify the outlines of recesses and openings in slabs/plates using the options available when you created the components. Alternatively, use @Apply Archit. Component Properties (How).

Activate Apply Archit. Component Properties in one of the following ways

• Menu bar: Modify Architecture Basic: Walls, Openings, Components
  Special: Walls, Openings, Components

• Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

Basic: Walls, Openings, Components

Special: Walls, Openings, Components

• Configuration: Architecture Architectural Components flyout

Be sure to note the following:

• The new position of the modified opening is based on its center.
• When you have placed slab/plate openings at an angle, this angle is retained when you modify the outline/shape of the opening; however, if you want, you can set a different angle.
• Regular openings cannot be turned into free-form openings. But you can convert free-form openings to regular (i.e. circular or rectangular) openings.
• Openings from symbol catalogs behave like rectangular or circular openings and you can modify their outlines at any time.
