QuickSketch, Introduction
In QuickSketch mode, you can sketch, draw and make modifications by moving the mouse, and without having to select any functions. Drag the mouse in a specific pattern (on your mouse pad) and Allplan will convert the movement into normal design entities or 3D elements that you can further edit using all the modification tools at your disposal.
To move, copy, delete or change the color of elements, just draw the appropriate modification symbol over the elements.
The following key combinations are available:
- ALT + left mouse button opens a dialog box in which you can select a QuickSketch mode.
2D QuickSketch is active by default so that you can immediately start working. - ALT + left mouse button (pressed down) draws freehand lines with the mouse.
- In 2D QuickSketch mode, ALT + CTRL + left mouse button and the corresponding freehand or modification symbol draws or modifies 2D design entities.
- In 3D QuickSketch mode, you start by selecting the elements you want to draw.
ALT + left mouse button draws any outlines. When you draw using ALT + CTRL + left mouse button, Allplan tries to convert the sketch to a circle or a polygon parallel to the coordinate planes (except for the Cut 3D mode). It is best to work in an isometric view.
Note: You cannot modify QuickSketch templates (2D QuickSketch) in Allplan.
