Height Parameters for Skylights

Tool(s): Skylight

Parameters

Click Open Favorite File
to retrieve parameter settings saved as favorite files.

Click Match Properties
to copy the parameter from an existing skylight.

Click Properties
to define the size and type of the opening.

Click Transport point for preview
to define the transport point in the preview.

free/lock

Click in the free/lock field for either the top or the bottom level: You can specify whether the window opening can be placed freely in the roof covering (the current height is displayed)
or
whether an edge of the window opening is to be tied to a fixed elevation line.
After selecting the lock setting, you can enter a height value.

Reference plane

Use the Reference plane field to define a height as of which the height value for the top or bottom level of the window opening is to apply. The actual height is based on the Reference plane plus Height value.
The reference plane is not a new 'custom reference plane‘. Rather, it is a value that is explicitly for the creation of flat window openings. You can also enter the value by clicking in a view or by entering it at the keyboard.

Note: It is possible to establish a reference to another plane or component. However, this is not necessary.

1 - Height of the bottom edge in the opening
2 - Height of the upper edge in the opening
3 - Reference plane (e.g., TLFF)
