Defining a subtotal

Cells that have been defined using Formula may be used for a sub-total. A sub-total represents the sum of the entries in a column.

This way, you can check the contents of up to three columns. The sub-total updates with every change you make to the column contents. When you change the area type, for example, Allplan automatically recalculates the areas.

To define a sub-total

  1. Click Define Legend (How).
  2. On the Define Legend toolbar, click Sub Tl.
  3. Click the cell.
  4. Specify the number of columns to be checked (max. 3).
    If, for example, you enter 2, a sub-total is calculated whenever the contents of the first or second column change.
