Placement Parameters

You can change the parameter settings for the placement as you need.
Some of the parameters are mutually dependent i.e., changing one setting may cause another to update accordingly.

The settings that are actually available to you depend on the placing method used. Below is a list of all the available parameters:

This button is only available when Reinforce with 3D model is not active.
Use this to define whether the number of bars generated by the placement are to be added or ignored.

Use this to enter the number of the congruent bar layers placed one upon the other.

Note: This function is not available in the Additional Carpet Reinforcement tool in the BAMTEC module.

Use this to enter the reinforcement percentage for the entire placement as bar cross-sectional area per meter or when you have set the placing mode to Bar-Based as the overall bar cross-sectional area of all bars.

Note: This parameter is not available in the Basic Carpet Reinforcement, Span Reinforcement and Mounting Strips tools in the BAMTEC module.

Use this to define the distance between the outer bars in the placement and the edge of the placing polygon. The following options are provided:

- sets up the outer bars so that they are flush with the starting edge
- sets the outer bars at a distance you define from the starting edge
- sets up the outer bars so that the distance between and the starting and final edges is identical
- sets the outer bars at a distance you define from the final edge
- sets up the outer bars so that they are flush with the final edge
Offset to Starting Edge - enter the distance between the outer bars and the starting edge
Offset to Final Edge - enter the distance between the outer bars and the final edge

You can use this to choose between placement in series and custom placement.

In Series mode, the whole defined area is reinforced using the current placing parameters

In Custom mode, reinforcing bars can be placed individually or in groups along placing lines.

You can use this to specify how offset values for reinforcement placed in rotation are displayed. You can select among the following five options:

DAngle to define the placement using a delta angle.
Outside to base the spacing between bars on the external radius of the placing area.
Middle to base the spacing between bars on the central radius of the placing area.
Inside to base the spacing between bars on the internal radius of the placing area.
Free to base the spacing between bars on a chosen radius of the placing area.

Use this to define how the bars are displayed. The following options are available:

: all the bars are displayed.
: only the bar in the middle is displayed.
: selected bars are displayed.
: a selected bar is displayed as unfolded. The program presents the various folding directions for selection. Select the desired setting by clicking.

Note: This function is not available in the Additional Carpet Reinforcement tool in the BAMTEC module.

Note: If you have set the placing mode to

Edge-Based,

Bar-Based or

Place in Batch, you can modify the defined placement region for placements in series by clicking New Region in the Input options.

New Region

If you have selected the Place in Series mode, you can modify the defined placement region. The new placement region is always created in direct alignment with the placing line entered, regardless of the points you click.

To modify the defined placement region

Click New Region in the Input options.
Click the first point of the placing line or enter the distance to the old placement region. You can set the concrete cover for the start of the placing line on the Context toolbar.
Click the second point of the placing line or enter the length of the region. You can set the concrete cover for the end of the placing line on the Context toolbar.
