Dialog box for defining dynamic group fixtures

Tool(s): Define Dynamic Group Fixture + Adjust Geometry of Dynamic Group Fixture

'Methods' tab:

Adjustment:

Click a line in the first column and enter a name for the intended geometric modifications to the dynamic group fixture.

You can define several geometric modifications for the same fixture.

Example: (Adjust1, Adjust2, ...)

Method:

You can use these tables to specify how to move individual points and how to resize individual dimensions in order to achieve the geometric modification.

These two tables of similar structure interact as follows:

For each move or resize operation defined in table 1, you can specify a series of corresponding modifications in table 2, which describe how the geometry of other fixtures in the dynamic group fixture change.

Select a method in the first column of the table.

If the method is a resize operation, select the fixture to be resized in the second column. Enter a reference point in the third column.

Finally, in the fourth column, select the variable of the directions defined beforehand. Changing this variable when you place the fixture will resize it.

If the method is a move, select the fixture to be moved and the reference point.

'Alternatives' tab:

Direction:

Click a line in the first column and enter a variable (e.g. length, width, height) of the group fixture. In the From box, specify the reference point at which the length of the element starts, for example. In the To box, specify the reference point at which the length of the element ends, for example.

Do the same with the other variables.

Fixture:

This lists all the fixtures and their names. Use Ref. Pt to assign the corresponding reference points to the fixtures.

Note: Click to delete the current line and the associated entries.
