Defining display parameters for layout borders

Tool(s): Layout Border

You can save display parameters of layout borders under a name of your choice. When placing a layout border, you can then select the settings saved using the Set Up Page or Layout Border tool, Border type area.

To define new display parameters for layout borders

• You must be logged in as the administrator or as a user with administrator privileges.

1. Click Layout Border (How).
   

   Activate Layout Border in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Layout

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout
   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Layout

   Crop layout

2. In the Border type area, select the type you want to use as the template.
3. Specify the required parameters in the Border pen and line type and Border definition areas.

   [User-defined type] is entered for the name of the type.

4. Click in the Type box, enter a name for the new layout border definition and press ENTER to confirm.
   

Note: To delete existing display parameters for layout borders, click on the right in the list box of the types.
