Chamfer by specifying distance

Module(s): Draft + Advanced Draft

To chamfer the angle between elements by specifying a distance

1. Click Chamfer (How).
   

   Activate Chamfer in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Draft and Modify Advanced Draft

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Draft

   • Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Advanced Draft

   • Configuration: Landscaping/Urban Planning Advanced Draft flyout
2. Click the elements.
3. Enter the chamfer width (by clicking a point or entering a numeric value). The chamfer width is the distance between the point where the two elements intersect to the point of intersection of the element with the chamfer.
   The two elements are shortened or lengthened as far as the chamfer.
