Modifying an existing pattern

Pattern Definition

You can use this tool to modify the definition of an existing pattern. Please note that a modification changes all areas and pattern lines to which the pattern you modify is applied.

To modify the definition of an existing pattern

1. Click Select Pattern (How).
   

   Activate Select Pattern in one of the following ways

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Pattern defaults

2. In the Select Pattern dialog box, click the pattern you want to modify.
3. You can use the editing frame to edit the pattern. To do this, you can use the tools on the Edit menu as well as numerous tools in the Draft, Advanced Draft and Text modules. The frame contains a grid of dots to help you.

   Note: You can also use tools from the Text module. When you quit Pattern Definition, the text is broken down into polylines and lines and cannot be modified as text any longer.

4. Click Save Pattern (How).
   

   Activate Save Pattern in one of the following ways

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):
