Convert office lists

You can use the Convert Office Lists tool to convert lists from earlier Allplan versions to reports in RDLC format.

Reports are used for analyzing data in Allplan. They are saved as templates in RDLC format.

Reports can be printed, placed as PDF files in documents and exported to Excel and other formats.
You can change the layout of reports and save the result as a new template.

"Lists" are the lists and schedules from earlier Allplan versions. They consist of Allplan elements. Lists were combined in folders and saved in a proprietary Allplan format.

They are no longer available in Allplan 2013. You can convert custom office lists to the RDL format of the new reports; however, they have to be adjusted before you can use them.

Note: This tool should be applied by experienced users only. Although all the components of the list are converted, its layout needs to be adjusted separately. This requires additional programs. To convert existing office lists

• When you upgrade the program, lists in the office standard of earlier versions are converted and written to the office standard of Allplan 2015.

1. Click Convert Office Lists (How).
   

   Activate Convert Office Lists in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Bonus Tools Templates: Reports, Legends, Labels

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Templates: Reports, Legends, Labels

   Note: If the office standard does not contain any lists of earlier versions, this tool closes automatically.

2. Select the list you want to convert and click Open.

   The list is opened, converted and displayed in the Allplan Report Designer.

3. Edit the report suing the options provided by the Report Designer.
4. Save the report as an RDLC file.
