Grid Settings

You can use the Grid Settings tool to define the origin of the grid and the spacing between grid dots in the X and Y direction. You can use the dots in the grid as an aid for precision drafting when the point snap option Gridpoints is active in the Point Entry Options.

To define the origin and the spacing between dots in a grid

1. Click Grid Settings (How).
   

   Activate Grid Settings in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: View

   • Toolbar: Special
2. Define the origin of the grid in one of the following ways:
   • Click in the workspace
   • Enter the X and Y coordinates in the dialog line and press enter to confirm each value.
3. Enter the spacing between grid dots in the X and Y direction in the dialog line and press enter to confirm each time.

Note: Use Grid on/off to display the grid points on screen.
