Navigation mode

Using Navigation Mode (How), you can activate and deactivate navigation mode in the viewport.

Activate or deactivate Navigation Mode in one of the following ways

• Menu bar: View

• Keyboard: CTRL+D

• Toolbar: Viewport toolbar

If navigation mode is active, you can use the mouse to view a 3D model: you can navigate in sphere mode or in camera mode (keep the CTRL key pressed down). For more information, see Sphere mode, Camera mode.

If you want to identify a point, all you need to do is switch back to design mode by deactivating navigation mode again.
