Having drawings scanned (scan service, service povider)

As only few offices are equipped with a large-format scanner, large-scale drawings (DIN A2 and bigger) are usually scanned by specialist bureaus.

The bureau requires information on the formats that Allplan can import:

• RLC format (can be imported without additional steps),

Or

• TIFF uncompressed
• TIFF compressed with packbits
• TIFF compressed with CCITT 3 1D (black/white format)
• Recommended: TIFF G4 (CCITT Group 4 2D)
• BMP uncompressed

Note: Allplan supports the conversion of common bitmap files to RLC files. If you cannot obtain the file as an RLC file, we recommend to use the TIFF format (TIFF G4 if possible) as the conversion process is very fast.

You require the following information from the bureau:

• The format of the scanned image and the compression type, if any.
• The resolution used when scanning.
