Importing C4D files (Cinema 4D R12)

3D data in C4D format can be imported from CINEMA 4D (R12 or later) directly to Allplan. MAXON's melange interface, which is available in CINEMA 4D version R 12 and later, is used to import C4D data.

Note: You can still use drag-and-drop operations to import XML files for CINEMA 4D R9.5 and later. You can only import data you exported to CINEMA 4D using the Export tool on the File menu in Allplan.

To import data from CINEMA 4D

1. Download the file.
2. Decompress the file and save it in any folder on your computer.
3. Start Allplan 2015.

   Note: The data is created in the current document. Please select an appropriate document.

4. Click Import on the File menu and then Import CINEMA 4D Data

   Or:

   Drag the C4D file into the workspace.

5. Set the File type to C4D.
6. Select the file you want to import and click Open to confirm.

   The data is created in the current document.

Exporting C4D files

You can use Export to CINEMA 4D, VRML, DAE, KMZ, 3DS, U3D to export C4D files.
