Send to Cinema 4D

You can use the Send to Cinema 4D tool to write the Allplan model to an export file in C4D format for CINEMA 4D R12, release 12 and later (*.C4D).

You can then import this file to Cinema 4D and edit it there.

To export an Allplan model in C4D format

1. Click Send to Cinema 4D (How).
   

   Activate Send to Cinema 4D in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: File Export + Change Presentation Animation

   • Toolbar: Change
   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Animation

   • Shortcut menu: Navigation Mode selected - Right mouse button - Export 3D Data

   The Save file dialog box opens. The C4D - CINEMA 4D R12 file (R12 Format) is set by default. Using this format, you can save the Allplan model to Cinema 4D format, release 12 and later (Melange 4.0 Toolbox).

2. In the Save File dialog box, enter a name and specify the path where to save the model.

   Tip: Cinema 4D first scans the folder of the C4D file for surface files. To make sure that it finds the surfaces quickly, you can save the C4D files to the Design folder of the project.

3. Click Save.
4. You can define advanced settings for the export in the CINEMA 4D Export Settings dialog box.

   The program automatically creates a file in Cinema 4D format in selected path.

5. If Cinema 4D runs on your computer, you can start it now and open the exported file. Click Yes.
