Stationing elements

You can use the Station Element tool to apply stations based on the parameters set in Modify Composite Element.

To station an existing element

  1. Click Station Element (How).
  2. Define the parameters in the Input Options:
  3. Click the element you want to station. When set to Part of selected element, specify the section by clicking the start and end points.

    Note: When you click points outside the element, the points on the element that are perpendicular to the points you clicked are used.

  4. Enter the station difference in the dialog line, or when set to Indiv, define the individual stations by clicking the points or entering the values.

    Note: When you click points outside the element, here, too, the points on the element that are perpendicular to the points you clicked are used.

    The symbols are placed.

Examples of stationing

To station an imaginary line

  1. Click Station Element (How).
  2. Define the parameters in the Input Options:
  3. Define the line by entering two points.
  4. Enter the station difference in the dialog line.

    The symbols are placed.

Note: In the case of composite elements, the symbol number and the type of label used are based on the values set in Modify Composite Element. In other words, a label can only be added when this option has been activated.
