Introduction to the Paint module

Module(s): Paint

You can use the tools in the Paint module to create and edit colors, colored areas and color freehand lines. The elements you create here are saved as vector format. This means you can move, mirror, resize, enlarge the elements etc. You can also apply a specific hue to color images in a single operation.

You work with 256 predefined colors. Alternatively, you can mix your own colors using red/green/blue values or based on hue/saturation/brightness.

Besides the Allplan standard color palette, you can purchase additional color sets (RAL 840 HR, RAL Design System, for example) or assemble your own RGB color palettes.

Using the Color Space with Same Hue, Color Space with Same Saturation and Color Space with Same Brightness tools, you can check and optimize color printouts on your printer.

Additionally, you can combine any number of drawing files in the Paint module to create a File Show - a handy way of presenting your projects or simply checking the contents of different drawing files (not possible when you work with in a document-based manner).

Filled areas and filled lines can hide design entities or they can be made to stay in the background. These effects are controlled on the Default toolbar in Show/Hide, Fill background areas option.

Filled areas and filled lines can be printed on raster printers. On black/white printers, these areas will appear as gray tones.
