Fills do not print

This may be because the fills have been created in construction line mode. As the construction line color is not visible with fills, it is not immediately obvious.

To check whether a fill has been created in construction line mode

1. In the Layout module, click Open on a Project-Specific Basis (How) or switch to document edit mode.
   

   Activate Edit Drawing Files in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Change Layout

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Layout

2. Select the drawing files or the NDW file with the fills that are not printing out.
3. Click the fill with the right mouse button and select Format Properties on the shortcut menu
   Or
   Click the fill and select the Properties palette.
4. If the system indicates that the fill is a construction line, convert it to a normal design entity (see below).
   

To convert fills to normal design entities

1. Click Modify Format Properties (How).
   

   Activate Modify Format Properties in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Edit

   • Keyboard: SHIFT+CTRL+M

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Edit flyout
2. Enable the Convert construction lines to 2D entities option in the Type of modification area.
3. Click OK.
4. Select the fills to convert them.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.
