Modify Placed Timber, Steel Elements

Module(s): Frame Construction: Rafters, Roof Beams, Posts

You can use the Modify Placed Timber, Steel Elements tool to modify the parameters of placed timber/steel elements.

To modify the parameters of placed rafters, beams, rafter purlins or steel elements

1. Click Modify Placed Timber, Steel Elements (How).
   

   Activate Modify Placed Timber, Steel Elements in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Architecture Frame Construction: Rafters, Roof Beams, Posts

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Rafter Design: Rafters, Roof Beams, Posts

   • Configuration: Architecture Frame Construction flyout
2. Click an element in the placement to be modified.
   The program automatically switches to the relevant design tool.
3. On the relevant Context toolbar, set the desired parameters.

To adjust the position of rafters after making changes to the roof frame

1. Click Modify Placed Timber, Steel Elements.
2. Click an element in the placement to be modified.
3. On the Context toolbar, click Properties and change the Roof Slope and Eaves Height Reference Plane parameters to the values of the modified roof.
