Collar Beam

You can use the Collar Beam tool to create collar beams between rafters or rafters and posts or universal timber elements.
To create collar beams (individually or in pairs)
- Collar beams can only be created where a series of rafters has already been placed.
- Click Collar Beam (How).
- If you want, you can now modify the collar beam parameters.
Use one of the following provided on the Context toolbar. - Click the rafter where you want to create a collar beam.
By changing the reference point, you can define the position of the collar beam more precisely. - Define the height of the collar beam in one of the following ways:
- Define the collar beam's endpoint by clicking a post, universal timber element or the rafter on the opposite side.
- Click in the workspace to define the direction in which the collar beam will extend.
If you click the line of distribution, a pair of collar beams is created. - Press ESC to quit the tool.
