Baseboard

You can use the Baseboard tool to create (special) baseboard (linear elements). These have a higher priority than the baseboard entered using the Room and Finish Specifications tools.

To create (special) baseboard

  1. Click Baseboard (How).

    Note: If you want to associate baseboard with the room and output analysis results in lists/schedules, you need to set the layer of the room at least to Modifiable.

  2. If you want, you can now modify the parameters of baseboard.
    Several options are provided on the context toolbar for this.
  3. Enter the baseboard using the polyline entry tools.
  4. When you have created the baseboard, you can define and place a label for it on the context toolbar that appears.

Tip: You can activate Properties at any time while entering the baseboard.

Note: The height of the baseboard is always based on the bottom level of the current height setting.

Note: Baseboard entered using the Baseboard tool replaces all the other linear elements you entered with Redefine Rooms, Surfaces, Stories, for example.

Note: When you draw (special) baseboard using the Baseboard tool, door openings are ignored in quantity takeoff operations.

Tip: You can use Combine Lines to Make Polylines (How) to join baseboard later. The new element automatically assumes all the properties of the element you clicked first.
