Quantity takeoff operations using documents

You can define which documents or components are to be analyzed during quantity takeoff operations in the following ways:

Quantity takeoff operations using the building structure

Using the building structure, you can quickly and easily generate reports encompassing entire structures or buildings. You only need to assign the source drawing files for the reports once in the Derived from building structure area. Allplan saves this assignment. You can quickly update the reports to reflect any changes you make. So you longer need to give any thought to which drawing files are required.

Quantity takeoff operations using building lists

Allplan offers an alternative approach for generating quantity takeoff reports encompassing entire structures or buildings: Start by structuring a project's drawing files in a "building list". You can use the following structural levels to assist you: "Structure", "Building" and "Story".

To obtain a quantities report, select individual drawing files or entire levels in the hierarchy that are to be taken into account. For this, the drawing files in question simply have to be selected in the project structure (you do not have to set them to current or edit mode).

Quantity takeoff operations work on a cross-file basis (i.e., you are not restricted to the information in a single document).

Neighbor relationships are taken into account:

Note: For quantity takeoff operations that are compliant with German building regulations, you need to make sure that the openings are within the components.
