Splitting and lowering

Module(s): General: Roofs, Planes, Sections

You can use the Split and Lower tool to lower a part of the bottom plane (the floor) in one or more roof frames and thus create a split-level plan.

To split and lower a part of the bottom plane in a roof frame

  1. Click Split and Lower (How).
  2. Define format properties (pen thickness, line type, line color and layer) for the lowered roof frame on the Format toolbar.
  3. Enter the height for this area on the context toolbar.

Note: The default value is the bottom level of the roof frame. The value for the height of the region you want to lower has to be smaller.

  4. Define the outline of the area where you want to split and lower the bottom plane using the polyline entry tools.

The lower plane is split and lowered. The lowered roof frame is given the format properties that are set on the Format toolbar.

Note: When you have selected several roof frames, all frames are merged to form a single roof frame.

Note: To delete planes created in this manner, you can use Delete Plane.
