Copying area

You can use the Copy Area tool to copy an area of the current scanned image associated with the drawing file.

• When you employ the Copy Area tool to copy an area of the image, the file containing the image is also modified. You should therefore use Copy Image to make a backup copy first.

To copy an area of the scanned image currently associated with the drawing file

1. Click Copy Area (How).
   

   Activate Copy Area in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Bonus Tools Scan

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Scan

2. Use the polyline entry tools to define the area you want to copy.
3. Enter the starting point for the copy.
4. Specify the target point for the copying operation.
