Mirroring area without copy

You can use the Mirror Area without Copy tool to mirror an area of a scanned bitmap image (the original is deleted).

• When you employ the Mirror Area without Copy tool to flip an area of the image, the file containing the image is also modified. You should therefore use Copy Image to make a backup copy first.

To flip an area of the scanned image currently associated with the drawing file

1. Click Mirror Area without Copy (How).
   

   Activate Mirror Area without Copy in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Bonus Tools Scan

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Scan

2. Use the polyline entry tools to define the area you want to flip.
3. Define the mirror axis.

   Note: To obtain a mirror axis that is exactly horizontal or vertical, enter the second point of the axis using Delta Point in the Point Assistant.
