Creating bitmap area

Module(s): Scan

You can use the Create Bitmap Area tool to create monochrome bitmap areas straight from linked scanned images. The bitmap file associated with the bitmap area is saved in a common format in the project's design folder. The bitmap areas are no longer associated with the scanned image and can be edited like any other bitmap area.

To create a bitmap area from a scanned image

  1. On the Format toolbar choose the color you want to use to save and display the bitmap area.
If the Color stands for pen option is active in Show/Hide , the color of the bitmap area depends on the pen selected on the Format toolbar (the pen thickness, however, does not affect the display!).
  2. Click Create Bitmap Area (How).
  3. Enter the area(s) to become a bitmap element using the polyline entry tools. Press ESC to finish.
  4. Specify the path and name for the bitmap file based on which the bitmap area is created.

The bitmap area is created using the current the color on the Format toolbar and it is placed on top of the scanned image based on which it was created.

Note: To move the bitmap area, use Move.
