Placed element reports

You can use the Placed Element Reports tool to generate reports about elements used in smart fit operations. These reports can be sent to the printer and imported as PDF files to the document.

Reports are used for analyzing data in Allplan. They are saved as templates in RDLC format.

Reports can be printed, placed as PDF files in documents and exported to Excel and other formats.
You can change the layout of reports and save the result as a new template.

Available reports, overview

To generate reports and lists

1. Click Placed Element Reports (How).
   

   Activate Placed Element Reports in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Bonus Tools Smart Fit

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Smart Fit

2. The Reports dialog box opens. Select the folder and report and then click Open.
3. Select the elements you want to list by enclosing them in a selection rectangle
   Double-clicking with the right mouse button selects all the elements in the file.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

4. The report is displayed in the Report Viewer and you can edit it as follows:
   • You can customize the report,
   • Print it,
   • You can place it in the current document.
   • Save it as a file in Excel, PDF or Word format or
   • Edit it using the Layout Designer.
     You can save changes as a new template in RDLC format.
5. Print or save the report.
