Modifying smart symbol’s attributes

You can use the Modify Smart Symbol's Attributes tool to modify the attributes of a definition of a smart symbol. The modification applies to all the instances of the smart symbol placed in the active document. You can overwrite the original smart symbol with the modified smart symbol or you can save it under a different name.

To modify the attributes of a smart symbol

1. Click Modify Smart Symbol's Attributes (How).
   

   Activate Modify Smart Symbol's Attributes in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Bonus Tools Smart Symbols

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Smart Symbols

2. Select the smart symbol whose attributes you want to modify.

   Note: The modification applies to all the instances of the smart symbol placed in the active document.

3. Change the general smart symbol properties.
4. If you want to save the modified smart symbol, enable the Save in option and enter a name for the smart symbol and specify the folder where it is to be saved.
   If you do not change the name, Allplan will overwrite the original smart symbol.
5. Click OK to apply your settings.
