Concrete construction - 3D object

The Concrete Construction - 3D Object tool provides a convenient way of creating predefined engineering components (e.g. precast columns). You can select the components in a catalog and customize them for your needs using dialog boxes and shortcut menus.
To create predefined concrete components
- Click Concrete Construction - 3D Object (How).
- Enable the Select placement view option if you want to define the position of the component prior to placing it.
- Select a catalog, choose a and click OK to confirm the dialog box.
- Set component settings as required in the dialog box.
Note: Use Record management to save component settings and retrieve them later.
- Click OK to confirm the dialog box and select the placement view by clicking (if you have enabled the Select placement view option).
A preview of the component is attached to the crosshairs, and the component automatically adapts to the view you have set.
- Before you place the component, you can specify its drop-in point and other parameters in the dialog line, dialog box or on the .
- Place the component in the workspace The following options are available:
- Click the drop-in point with the left mouse button.
- Click the drop-in point with the right mouse button and, on the shortcut menu, select Resize component to adjust the component to the height or length of an existing component after placing it.
- Click the drop-in point with the right mouse button and, on the shortcut menu, select Component dialog to modify the component parameters after placing it.
