Loading original layout

Module(s): Crop Layout

You can use the Load Original Layout tool to return to the original layout after you have loaded a layout section using the Load Layout Section or Layout (How) tool.

Activate Load Layout Section or Layout in one of the following ways

• Menu bar: Modify

• Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

Crop Layout

• You can only select this tool when you have loaded a layout section using the Load Layout Section or Layout (How) tool beforehand.

To use the ‘Load Original Layout’ tool

1. Click Open on a project-specific basis (How) and select the original layout.
   

   Activate Open on a Project-Specific Basis... in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: File

   • Keyboard: Ctrl+Alt+O

   • Toolbar: Standard
2. With the original layout now displayed, click Select Layout Section to temporarily load the section you want to edit.
3. To revert to the original layout, click Load Original Layout (How).
   The original layout is loaded again and you can switch to the next layout section.
   

   Activate Load Original Layout in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Crop Layout

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Crop Layout

Tip: You are advised to keep the original layout as the current one. Although it is never printed, it contains all the borders of the sections derived from it. To print the entire contents of the original layout, you are advised to retain a border that can then be used to cut out the overall area.

Note: If the layout you have loaded using the Load Layout Section or Layout tool is not the original layout and you quit the Crop Layout module, Allplan will automatically revert to the original layout.
