Creating and saving your own configuration files

Using configuration files

The standard configuration files that come with the program should cover most requirements. However, you can also create your own custom configuration files in order to optimize the conversion. This can be very useful when you need to exchange data with the same exchange partner.

To create and save your own configuration files

  1. Click Export (How) and select the elements to be transferred.

Tip: Select as many different elements as possible (fonts, line types, etc.), so that the configuration file created is as extensive as possible.

Tip: To use the standard configuration file as the basis for your own configuration files, click Options... in the Export dialog box and select the Use default configuration check box in the Advanced Settings tab.

  2. Start the conversion by selecting the files to be converted in the Export dialog box and click Save.
  3. In the Export dialog box, click Modify.

The Configuration for Conversion dialog box opens.

Note: If you have not selected Allow incomplete assignments, this dialog box may open automatically.

  4. Make the assignments by selecting the desired tab and double-clicking the line. Click OK to confirm.
  5. Click Save in the Export dialog box and save the configuration file.
