Adjust location of dimension text

Module(s): Dimension Lines

You can use the Adjust Location tool to correct the location of dimension text that is no longer centered in the dimension line section.

To correct the dimension text location in one or more dimension lines

1. Click Adjust Location (How).
   

   Activate Adjust Location in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Dimension Lines

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Dimension Lines

2. Click the dimension line(s) you want to correct.

Example

Tip: If you want to correct individual dimension text, select Show, Hide Dimension Text, hide the dimension text in question and then display it again. The location of the dimension text is recalculated and thus corrected automatically when you display it again.

Note: If dimension text was moved using Move Dimension Text, the dimension text will return to its original position.
