Assigning objects

Facade toolbar, overview

You can use the Assign object tool to insert an object in an existing facade.

To insert an object in an existing facade

1. Click Assign object.
2. Select the facade you want to edit.

   Tip: You may need to switch to elevation or isometric view.

3. Select the object type you want to insert.
4. Click one of the midpoints (displayed as blue handles).
   Select a handle by clicking. You can also select several handles. To do this, click the right mouse button to open the brackets before you click the handles.
5. After you have clicked a handle or closed the brackets by clicking the right mouse button again, the Object Layout dialog box opens.
6. Select the object you want to place and click OK to close the Object Layout dialog box.
7. To quit the tool, click Apply or Cancel.
