Defining Your Own Special Characters

Enter special characters

If you use Allplan fonts, you can define your own special characters and use them in the same way as normal letters.

To define your own special characters with Allplan fonts

  1. On the Tools menu, click Defaults.
  2. Click Fonts.

Note: The message ”You are modifying the fonts in the office path” is displayed to remind you that any changes you make will alter the office standard.

The font edited last is imported. The number and name of the font are displayed in the title bar.

  3. On the Modify flyout, click Font and enter a number between 1 and 20 in the dialog line.
The font’s characters are displayed on the left. On the right, an editing frame is displayed. This is where edits are performed.
  4. Click Read Character (How).
  5. Enter the ASCII number in the dialog line and press ENTER or click the respective letter. To use a character that has not been used yet, click an empty field.
  6. Define the character using the tools on the Create and Create II flyout.
  7. When you have finished defining the character, press the right mouse button.
