Aligning text

Module(s): Text

You can use the Align Text tool to align text left, right or horizontally. The texts are aligned with the one furthest left, furthest right, at the top or at the bottom.

To align text

1. Click Align Text (How).
   

   Activate Align Text in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Text

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Text flyout
   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Text

2. Specify whether the text is left-aligned, right-aligned, horizontally-aligned or whether it is aligned at the bottom.
3. Select the text items.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.
