Fit and resize

Module(s): Text

You can use the Fit and Resize tool to move or resize text lines or paragraph text.

To move and resize text lines or paragraph text

1. Click Fit and Resize (How).
   

   Activate Move and Resize in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Text

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Text

2. Select the text you want to fit and resize.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

3. Enter the bottom left point.
4. Enter the top right point

   The text is resized to fit the rectangle defined by the diagonal points.

Note: Depending on the new corners you select, the text can also be displayed rotated.
