How to format text

The process of formatting text is also done in the text entry dialog, either as you enter the text or later using Edit Text or Change Text Settings. You can either select text and apply formatting, or you can set the formatting you want, write the new text and then switch the format off again. Clicking Text Format Favorites lets you save the format properties in a file, similar to format templates in word processing applications.

Note: You need to select a text in its entirety in order to switch between an Allplan font and a different font (e.g. TrueType). Bold and Cross out are not available with Allplan fonts.

Formatting can be applied to text using control characters. In other words, a control character is entered where formatting is to begin and another control character is entered where formatting is to end. You can use these control characters to change the color within the text, for example, or to reduce or enlarge text, etc.
You can find an overview of control characters in the help; see the section "Control characters for formatting text".

Note: The control characters are only visible in the Text dialog box and not in the workspace.

For example: for Allplan enter: %UAAllplan%UE
