Printing drawing files with as-built data in gray

To print drawing files using a different color, you can define a superordinate pen, superordinate line, superordinate color as well as surface elements for a drawing file placed in a specific layout. You do not need to modify the drawing file itself.

This way, you can print drawing files with as-built data in gray or drawing files with new building data in red, for example, without having to use print sets. For drawing files with demolition data, you can not only change the color but also set the line type to 99 Demolition.

To print a drawing file using a different color

  1. Click List Layout Elements (How).
  2. Select the documents you want to list.

Note: If you have selected individual documents only, you can also show and hide the documents you have not selected using the Show all layout elements option. Note, however, that you cannot edit the documents you have not selected explicitly.
Double-click with the right mouse button in the workspace to list all the documents of the current layout.

  3. Select the check box in the Predefined color column and select the color you want to use.

  4. Click OK to confirm the settings.

The modified color is only used to print the layout element in the currently selected layout.
