Draw, modify mitered polygons

Module(s): Advanced Draft

You can use the Draw, Modify Mitered Polygons tool to apply a pattern line to lines, polylines or composite elements. The pattern line’s pen and color set on the Format toolbar are used. A miter can be applied to the pattern line in the corners. You can also modify existing pattern lines.

To apply a pattern line to lines, polylines or composite elements

  1. Click Draw, Modify Mitered Polygons (How).
  2. Click New in the Input options.
  3. Click the composite element, line or polyline.

Note: Pattern lines are not possible with curved elements like splines and circles. You can only apply a pattern line to lines and polylines of composite elements.

  4. For composite elements and lines, specify from which element and to which element the pattern line is to stretch. Right-click if you want to select the entire composite element or line.
  5. Set the parameters of the pattern line.

Note: In order to miter the pattern line in the corners, the Miter option in the Intersection area in the Pattern Line dialog box must be enabled.

To modify an existing pattern line

  1. Click Draw, Modify Mitered Polygons (How).
  2. Click Modify in the input options.
  3. Click the pattern line.
  4. Set the parameters of the pattern line.

Note: In order to miter the pattern line in the corners, the Miter option in the Intersection area in the Pattern Line dialog box must be enabled.

Off deletes a mitered polyline.
