Delete

You can use the Delete tool to delete elements.

To delete elements

1. Click Delete (How).
   

   Activate Delete in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Edit

   • Keyboard: SHIFT+CTRL+Del

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Edit flyout
2. Select the elements you want to delete.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

Note: To restore the elements you have deleted most recently, click twice with the right mouse button in the workspace.

Tip: In plan you can select elements using handles and then delete them. For more information, see Editing elements using handles.
