Perpendicular

Module(s): Draft + Site Plan

You can use the Perpendicular tool to drop a perpendicular to a line, circle, ellipse or spline.

To drop a perpendicular to a line or a circle

1. Click Perpendicular (How).
   

   Activate Perpendicular in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Draft

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Draft flyout
   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Draft

   Site Plan

2. Click the line, circle, ellipse or spline.
3. Define the perpendicular in one of the following ways:
   • specify a point from which the perpendicular is to be dropped.
   • enter the length of the perpendicular and click in the workspace to specify the direction in which the perpendicular is to extend.
