Entering polylines

When you enter a polyline, you can also enter one that consists of several polygons. The polygons can simply be added to or subtracted from the overall area.

To enter an area consisting of several polygons

  1. After having selected a tool for entering an area (for example, hatching), click Multi in the Input Options.
  2. Enter the first polygon.
  3. Specify in the Input Options how the next polygon is to be handled:
  4. Enter the second polygon.
  5. Enter the other polygons. With each polygon you enter, you can specify whether it is to be added to or subtracted from the overall area. Otherwise, press ESC to finish entering the area.

Example

Tip: To add areas to an existing area at a later stage, use the Reshape Surface Element, Architectural Area tool.
