Filtering based on element type or properties

Filter assistant

Before you select elements by clicking them or opening a section window, you can set one or more filters. Only the elements that match the filter criteria entered are then selected.

To filter based on element type or properties

1. After you have selected a tool for modifying elements (e.g. moving), click one of the filter types offered on the Filter Assistant toolbar.
2. Select the property on which filtering shall be based.
   Depending on the filter criterion, you can use to match an element's properties by clicking it and/or specify whether the criterion has to be fulfilled (=) or not (<>).
3. Select the elements by clicking them or opening a selection window.

   Only the elements that match the specified filter criteria are selected.
