Parameters for circular reinforcement

Tool(s): Circular Reinforcement

In addition to general mark properties, you can define the parameters required for outline entry in the Cross-section tab.

Same concrete covers

When you activate this check box, the program applies the same concrete cover to all the edges of the shell. In this case, you only need to enter the concrete cover once.

If this check box is deactivated, you can enter separate values for the concrete covers at the start and at the end and for the concrete cover of the placement itself. The graphics area shows where the individual concrete covers are created. You can also click and enter values in the graphics area.

Component factor

You can enter a factor for placements that are displayed just once but that occur several times. This factor is only taken into account for the reinforcement management and the schema.

Layer factor

Use this to enter the number of superimposed bar layers. The additional layers are created at the required minimum distance so that they are perpendicular to the outline.

Number off/Distance

Select a value in the list box or enter any value. The parameter you entered last is used. The relevant parameter is displayed for information in the line below. The other value adapts in accordance with the placing length specified.
The reinforcement amount, which is always calculated from the diameter and the distance, is also displayed for information.

Offset to edge/Start/End

You can select the position of the placement in relation to the placing length specified and, if necessary, enter values defining the distance from the start or end.
However, you can only make a selection if the distance is used as the input parameter. The offset values for start and end cannot be entered until you have defined the placing length.

You can define the parameters for the placement in the Placement tab. You can define the limits for Maximum bar length, Minimum bar length, Minimum radius and Maximum rise in the Options, Reinforcement, Circular reinforcement area.

Outside start angle, end angle/Inside start angle, end angle/Inside curve

Select a value in the list box or enter any value. The end angle always has to be larger than the start angle.
The delta angle is 360 degrees maximum. If a start or end angle you enter does not meet these criteria, the associated angle will adapt automatically.

When you select the Inside curve check box, you can enter different angles for the inner boundary of the placing region. This is only useful if the outline specified is not parallel to the axis of rotation.

Alternating connections/Overlap ...

You can choose the type of overlap to be created at the start and/or end of the placing region in a list box. When you activate the Alternating connections check box, the program alternately creates overlaps of varying length. Depending on these settings, enter values for the individual overlaps.

Overlap length/Rule/Length of 1st bar

Enter any value for the overlap length or configure the program to calculate it. In addition, select a rule in the list box. Allplan creates the overlap according to this rule.

Note: When you place the bars per meter, this area is not available.
