General mark properties

Tool(s): Bar Shape + Circular Reinforcement

You can define the following mark properties in the General area (on the Cross-section tab for circular reinforcement). The parameters that are actually available to you vary depending on the reinforcement type.

Mark number, Number of first mark

You can specify the mark number. When creating circular reinforcement, you can enter the number of the fist mark (the program creates consecutive marks). If you enter an existing mark number, the program issues a message indicating the next available mark number. You can accept it.
The largest possible mark number is 9999.

Concrete strength grade

The concrete strength grade you have selected in the options is displayed for information.

Cross-section catalog

The list box presents all the cross-section catalogs defined as bar cross-section catalogs.

Diameter

The list box provides various diameters, which depend on the selected cross-section catalog.

Bar length

The total length of the bar shape specified is displayed for information. If you have selected the Straight bar as point option for the Straight bar bending shape, you can specify the bar length to be used for reinforcement management.

Per meter

You can specify whether the bars are cut to length or created per meter. When you select this check box, you need to specify a Length factor by which the bar length is multiplied to take lap joints into account.
Reference values for bars placed per meter (circular reinforcement)

Note: When you change the Cross-section catalog or Diameter, various shape-specific parameters (e.g. hook length, bending pins or the anchorage lengths calculated by the program) adapt automatically.
